TR5 from Tom Rossau - the flowing lamp

Designed by the famous danish lighting designer Tom Rossau, the TR5 pendant appears exceptionally dashing in its stacked wood veneer strips. The TR5 pendant lamp features a fluidlike pattern of birch veneer, brushed aluminum or white plastic, revealing little slices of light in between the strips. As the name suggests, TR represents the initials of Tom Rossau.

The thinly cut, delicate wood veneer is used to it's full potential in the TR5 from Tom Rossau, it's bent and shaped in such a way that seems almost impossible. Looking at the lamp almost feels like looking at an optical illusion.

Each lamp is carefully handcrafted with appreciation for the natural characteristics of the selected materials, and the result is a stunning form of light. The Tom Rossau TR5 completes the contemporary atmosphere of any interior.

With its billowy, cloud-like structure, TR5 is decidedly easy on the eye. Punctiliously crafted, the lamp’s floating form is a clever illustration of wood’s significant potential in lighting design.

Tom Rossau's TR5 is available as a suspension lamp in four sizes. In addition, the TR5 is also available as an attractive floor lamp, table lamp and wall light.

Tom Rossau is an Danish lighting designer who started in the basement of his parents’ house in Fårevejle, Denmark, which is famous for its curvaceous landscape and the light on the north-western coastline. In the beginning of the ’90s, Tom Rossau started designing different types of products. Soon enough Tom Rossau developed a specific style that focused on leather. Tom created and sewed all his designs himself and in 1997, he opened a shop in Copenhagen.
