Designed by Ichiro Iwasaki for Vibia, the Closer pendant light is an elegant masterclass in visual lightness and structural proximity, expertly designed to dissolve the boundaries between internal sanctuaries and the open air. The defining characteristic of this luminaire is its generous, delicately inflated spherical shade, meticulously crafted from a finely woven, weather-resistant polyester braided textile.

Supported by a aluminium frame and an internal PMMA diffuser, the delicate weave filters light into soft, fluid gradients and a warm ambient halo. The collection is engineered in three distinct volumetric sizes, with each offering two structural suspension variants: a fluid, minimalist cable suspension and a highly stable rigid stem version engineered to withstand semi-exposed currents. Its smart suspension engineering features a multi-use canopy that flawlessly adapts to both flat horizontal and sloped architectural ceilings.

Indoors, the soft textile presence makes it an exemplary specification for low-slung suspension above open-plan kitchen islands, residential dining tables, and intimate living room seating layouts.
