The Vibia Palma pendant light, designed by Antoni Arola, reimagines the relationship between light, architecture and nature through a luminous composition inspired by hanging gardens.
Crafted from blown glass, aluminium and PMMA, the collection features subtly flattened opaline glass spheres suspended from a refined graphite-finished aluminium framework via almost imperceptible cable supports, creating an elegant, weightless presence that accentuates the sensation of floating within the space. Available in eight configurations, including three horizontal and five vertical compositions, Palma complements modern, Scandinavian and biophilic interiors while its extensive dimming capabilities allow designers to create personalised atmospheres tailored to each space.
The horizontal variations establish sweeping linear axes that elongate internal volumes and highlight key architectural features, while the vertical configurations introduce dramatic sculptural height. This versatility makes the collection an exemplary specification for restaurant concepts, hotel vestibules, and corporate reception halls. Antoni Arola
Antoni Arola is a Barcelona-based designer whose work explores the relationship between light, space and emotion. Renowned for his multidisciplinary approach, he combines industrial design, art direction and lighting design to create products that are both technically refined and emotionally engaging. His philosophy centres on revealing the essence of materials and light through simplicity, creating timeless designs that enrich architectural environments. A long-standing collaborator with Vibia, Arola has designed several acclaimed lighting collections, including Bamboo, Flamingo, Palma, Empty and Halo Jewel.
